Maps
You can choose to have a fixed price map, or priced based on the time taken to draw it. These options could be combined (e.g. starting cost per hour, then agreeing a fixed price to complete the map. With a per-hour map, you can see how the map progresses without overcommitting. Where as with a fixed price map, you know the cost upfront, but map detail may be limited. If you prefer a fixed cost map, I'll quote you based on your specifications.
Map drawing costs includes time drawing the map, plus any calculations required for setting it out, and any additional research needed. Rates are the same whether I'm drawing a hand-drawn map or not (an assisted map will take less time).
The starting price for a fixed-price map is £15. At this cost I will design your unique map, producing its outline & simple addition of land, sea, major settlements & rivers, trees & mountains, based on your descriptions/sketches (an example below). Size will be limited to A4 (UK paper size). Higher specifications (e.g. more details like road & rail, larger canvas, improved colouration & shading, additional symbols for points of interest, scales, compass roses & legends) will cost more. My portfolio will give you an idea of the more detailed maps I can produce.

Maps
- Fixed-price maps up to £50 - I'm happy for you to pay upfront or at completion
- Fixed-price maps above £50 - I ask for a minimum of 50% of the cost paid upfront
- Maps drawn on per-hour basis - I'm happy to work up to three hours before any payment is required, although I naturally welcome some upfront payment. I won't progress the map until I've received payment after three hours of work. I generally invoice per-hour maps in chunks of 6 hours of work, remaining happy to work three hours ahead. For example, if I work for 3 hours, I'll then invoice you for 6 hours (or more if in agreement), and continue to work until 9 hours have gone into the project (assuming the project will at least that long). Once complete, I'll invoice any arrears if required. I'll also refund any overpayment with per-hour maps. This does not apply to fixed-price maps.
Consultations
Consultations are appointment based, and are always paid for upfront. For any cancelled/rescheduled consultations within 24 hours of start time, I will charge 50% (of the session cost). If more than 24 hours notice given for a cancellation or reschedule, there is no fee.
Payment methods
Note that I usually charge in UK Sterling/British Pounds, but can happily quote in your own country's currency.
I accept payments by Paypal, and other major cards like Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Maestro. Please see footer link for more info. You don't need a Paypal account to pay me. All payents are made securely, with Paypal handling all supported payment types.
